THE SCORE
Scoring Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve was the most ambitious project we ever pursued. And it was absolutely worth it. We built up a decent budget and got to work hiring actors, booking locations, and writing scene after scene. We filmed in New York City and South Florida, braving blizzards one night and heatwaves another. We hit a few dozen obstacles, and conquered them all the same. Yes, this was the most ambitious project and also the most rewarding.
The coolest thing about Christmas Eve and why it is so important to us, is because we had a hand in every single element, like scoring the soundtrack.
People dream differently. Even the same person can dream differently throughout their life. In this instance, we were dreaming in sound and color. When writing Christmas Eve, we also heard it. And the music — that cadence echoing in our minds — had us hiring a good friend and orchestrator, Darren McFate, to score the soundtrack for what would be our greatest film to date.
