Canon Inc: Cinderella

Part of being a creative is dealing with those impulsive urges to just go make something, and that is exactly how this Canon Commercial came to be. Justin and Joshua were sitting around talking about doing a project they wanted just get done for fun.

The project began to develop on its own, melding both Justin’s photography with Joshua’s film. Through different mediums the two managed to create a space where the two continued to complement the other. Justin shot a bunch of the images with an old Canon film camera and a Polaroid camera. It was really awesome to see it all come together.

Joshua had been watching Cinderella over and over again with his daughter, so when it came time to decide what song to put in the ad, the inspiration came from the film’s theme
