Mike Davey
When Local Experience Meets Federal Vision
Mike Davey, former Mayor of Key Biscayne and employment lawyer, approached us for his 2026 congressional campaign challenging incumbent María Elvira Salazar in Florida’s 27th District. With over 12 years in local government and a background as a small business owner, Davey needed content that highlighted his proven track record of putting people ahead of politics in one of Florida’s most competitive districts.
We developed authentic video pieces that showcased Davey’s solutions-focused approach and deep community connections. Our campaign storytelling strategy emphasized his local government accomplishments and personal story as the son of first-generation Americans, helping him connect with the district’s diverse Latino community and establish credibility as a problem-solver who delivers results.

Showcasing Local Government Success
Our primary video centered on Davey’s accomplishments as Key Biscayne Mayor, filming at the elementary school where his advocacy for street safety first sparked his political involvement. We captured him walking the same streets he made safer for families, with morning light filtering through palm trees as he discussed keeping taxes down while building new schools and strengthening sustainability efforts. The setting reinforced his grassroots origins – this wasn’t political theater, but genuine community problem-solving. We kept our approach conversational: natural lighting, handheld camera work, letting Davey explain how local experience translates to federal effectiveness without losing the personal touch that defined his mayoral tenure.
Connecting Personal Story To Policy Vision
The second video required balancing Davey’s compelling personal narrative with his policy platform for Congress. We filmed at his law office where he represents workers and small businesses, capturing the authentic environment where he fights for employment rights daily. The challenge was showing how his background as the son of first-generation Americans and stepfather to a refugee shapes his understanding of district issues like immigration, economic opportunity, and civil rights. We focused on genuine moments: Davey reviewing cases that mirror congressional priorities, his natural ability to explain complex legal concepts, the personal conviction evident when he discusses protecting constitutional rights and lowering costs for working families.
