Shooting in Miami

The campaign we worked on for Spring Footwear, a fashionable shoe brand with a family legacy of providing fine craftsmanship and unparalleled European comfort to their patrons, was a two-day shoot which took place at the beautiful Paramount Miami suites. Our team was tasked with delivering a series of short videos and still photography that would showcase the client’s products; content that was intended not just for their website and social media channels, but for print-ads and a variety of other promotional purposes as well. For this particular shoot we used our RED Monster and Komodo cameras to ensure the capture of high-quality imagery to really narrow-in on the detail of the product – in this case, footwear. Our aim was to highlight the exquisite attention to detail present in the shoes, and to maintain the sense of relaxed sophistication that was to power the campaign overall.

Tangible Outcomes

This was a challenging project overall, if not merely on account of the quick turnaround. But the final product was just as we had envisioned. Slick, high-quality content that showcases the brand in its best and most flattering light. The designs, the detail, the fine craftsmanship of the products, all seen through the lenses of our 8K-quality camera systems—they are sharp and crystal clear. In fact, our client was so pleased in the end that they delivered to us a copy of the booklet in which the images appeared. The digital imagery, paired with the printed ads, made for a perfect campaign story. Now we have a great, tangible advertisement to be proud of, as well as a partnership with a client whom we cannot wait to work with again.

Subject Matter

We had not only a responsibility to represent the aesthetic of the products and of the brand itself—the shoes and their European comfort and fashionability—but to depict properly the patrons who support them. In procuring the talent for this shoot, we were sure initially to hire both a younger model and an older one. This was not only in an effort to showcase a variety of age ranges, but to celebrate them. Because for Spring Footwear, a company founded thirty years ago dedicated to creating shoes that look and feel great, there was an imperative that this campaign spoke to all demographics of their national fan base, not just one
