CTS Engineering

In association with the Florida Department of Transportation, CTS Engineering hired us to create a short video in support of carpooling.

CTS Engineering Inc. “began serving the Southeast Florida market with the belief and understanding that the future of the transportation industry requires creative thinking and diverse solutions.” Even with the spirit of innovation propelling their business, they don’t overlook simple and proven transportation alternatives, such as carpooling.

 

This video comes in response to a growing South Florida population and exciting building boom in downtown Fort Lauderdale, which is adding vertical density to the region. Both of these factors impact traffic in South Florida. More people equals more cars. Ongoing development equates to temporary congestion and detours. The South Florida community needed a simple response to increased traffic congestion that could be implemented quickly and effectively. Rather than reinvent the wheel, CTS Engineering and the FDOT promoted carpooling.

 

The familiarity of carpooling and the frequency of its use were our chief selling points. We chose to film this production from multiple perspectives to appeal to a larger audience. Our video targeted parents, teenagers, and working adults. The purpose of this video was not to convince the community on the efficacy of carpooling. It was to encourage residents to think about making small strides in energy conservation and to promote thoughtful planning in the way we navigate our city every day.

A web-based instructional video series for amateur photographers.

 

What could be cooler than being commissioned by Polaroid to film an entire set of instructional videos on how to create stellar media content?

 

For the pilot, the C&I crew ventured out to the Bahamas to shoot this short instructional piece on iPhone photography (featured left). We opened up our bag of tricks here, with everything from subtle motion graphics to drone work, to create a beautiful and attention grabbing video.

 

Our work paid off! Following the success of the pilot episode, Polaroid asked us to write and produce a massive series to teach amateur and professional photographers how to create the most stunning shots using their iPhones. Check it out!

Black Mile Travel Bag

The best way to introduce the Black Mile Travel Bag to the market was through story-driven media, so that is exactly what we created.

The Black Mile Travel Bag is a compact, space-saving, and versatile travel bag. It was designed by a United States Military Veteran to be lightweight, functional, and fashionable in both adventurous rural settings and bustling urban locales. The Black Mile Travel Bag can be worn as a backpack, used as a suitcase or modified into a carry-on travel bag.

 

We were tasked with branding the Black Mile Travel Bag to appeal to three types of consumers, which were outlined by the client: the rugged adventurer, the wanderlust, and the creative professional. All three audiences share a respect for nature and travel, however, their personalities are wildly different. We created a concept that would appeal to all three.

 

Our narrative follows a creative professional on a trip abroad for a client. Upon landing his identity shifts. He is not purely a creative professional. He embodies deep respect and appreciation for the country and the culture he is experiencing — he begins to wander and admire. Similarly, he ventures off the beaten path, which appeals to the rugged adventurer. All three of these archetypes converge yet they do not conflict with one another. This situated the Black Mile Travel Bag as the universal companion for all types of travelers and businessmen.

Product Photography

Whereas our video addresses the consumers who would benefit and appreciate the Black Mile Travel Bag, our product photography showcases its many features.

The photography reinforces the message articulated in the branding video: that Black Mile Travel Bag is a perfect companion for any type of traveler in any type of situation. Though this is stated in the video, the product deserved additional verification. Our product photography for Black Mile Travel Bag, therefore, showcases the product in its entirety.

 

We approached our product photography from two angles: full-scope (shooting the entire bag) and granular (shooting close-ups of the features). Not only does this prove the message stated in the video, but it also adds value and appeal to the product.

 

Regardless of consumer archetype, the photography shows all of the ways this bag benefits those who travel. These photos are proof of its durability, versatility, quality, and style. Nothing is omitted. Every canvas — every layer — is photographed to fully capture the bags function and lack of limitation.

 

These photos are perfect for online sales, which is the primary medium Black Mile Travel Bag markets to their consumers. Once their website is complete, these photos will become the centerpiece. They will lead online sales and expand their digital marketing to include social media — a resource they have yet to tap into.

This video was created for Pete Buttigieg’s political campaign for State Treasurer of Indiana. Pete believes in using money the right way and for the right reasons. He works hard to withhold honor and integrity for his state and his nation.

 

We helped Pete on his campaign because he stands for a higher purpose, like we do. Today, Pete is the thirty-second mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

This is a commercial we shot for Purebred Breeders. They have put their efforts into helping families find their new family member by putting together a set of screening services that make sure the breeders you deal with are ones you can trust.

 

They make certain the puppies coming to their respective new families undergo thorough health screening by their veterinarians shortly before getting adopted.

 

Purebred Breeders simply assists you with making sure future puppy parents are well informed and ready to provide their new family member with the needed love and care they deserve.
