A Day in Our LA Loft with Kayla Durazo

Kayla Durazo started competing in 2015 and went on to earn her pro card as a WNBF Professional Bikini Bodybuilder. Everything she does now grew out of that. She coaches lifestyle and fitness clients, teaches yoga, and has built a real audience around the wellness side of it.

We shoot these model profiles because most of what a working model has to show belongs to somebody else. The campaign gets the spotlight and the person ends up as a prop in their own portfolio. A profile flips that. There is no brand to serve and no product to sell, so everything in the frame is about her.

That is also why our team likes doing them. They give us room to actually shoot, and they give the talent something honest to send out when the next job comes up.

How the Kayla Durazo Shoot Came Together

We organized this one from start to finish. Our team owned the plan going in, which is the only reason a single day could cover this much ground.

It was shot in our private loft in Los Angeles, the same space we rent out to other productions. The natural light in there is the whole appeal. It comes through soft and even for most of the day, then turns warm toward the end of it, and you can watch that change happen across these frames.

The edit became part of the experiment. Some frames we kept bright and clean. Others got pushed warm, and a few went to black and white with the grain left in. Same loft, same afternoon, and the mood is completely different in every one.

We ran through a stack of outfits, angles, poses, and vibes so Kayla walked away with real range instead of fifteen versions of the same picture. That is what this space and our photography process are built to do.
