There is a specific criteria that 76 Words’ candidates must adhere to. Above all else, they must think selflessly and act with the sole intention of ushering in a new era in American society — one designed for the people and derived from equality.

 

Sean Shaw ran for the Attorney General of Florida on a platform of increasing access to medical insurance for Floridians suffering from pre-existing conditions. His stance opposed Ashley Moody, the former Attorney General, who lobbied on behalf of the medical insurance companies, which directly violated the wellbeing of the average American. To put it into perspective, Attorney General Sean Shaw compared the difficulty of securing medical insurance while suffering from a pre-existing condition, like cancer, to buying an assault rifle. This comparison shifted the vote in his favor… and ours.

Our crew filmed in Florida, capturing community settings and personal stories that added depth to the candidate’s platform. The editing process focused on pacing, allowing Sean Shaw’s words to carry the weight they deserved without rushing through the substance.
