SaferWatch is a cutting-edge web and mobile-based security system designed to provide a higher level of safety and peace of mind for schools, businesses, and law enforcement.

 

To help illustrate and promote this concept, we were brought in to create a branding video for SaferWatch. Our goal was to clearly demonstrate the functionality and critical importance of SaferWatch in helping prevent school shootings and other emergencies.

 

Our team combined sharp visuals with engaging narrative elements to showcase how the app works in real-world scenarios, ensuring the video was both informative and emotionally impactful. By collaborating closely with SaferWatch, we tailored every detail of the video to align with their mission of promoting safety and security.

Lincoln Cars: MKC & MKZ

Lincoln Cars: MKC & MKZ

Lincoln came to us for help with talent, production, location, etc. for these two separate commercials about two different cars aimed towards opposite demographics.

 

This shoot was the first time we have ever used a car mount for our cameras in order to get the angles we wanted. You can see one of our staff members assembling the mount in the behind-the-scenes photos below!

 

The shoot took two days to complete and included a casting call and location scouting (we finally settled on three separate locations). The commercials are themed around a date night that Lincoln set up by allowing people to sign up for.

 

The two couples were able to use the cars for the evening and Lincoln paid for their dates! We thought this was a pretty neat concept for advertising both cars and date nights.

Elevating Fitness Video Production

Empowered Media is a multimedia production company founded by fitness icon Jillian Michaels. Known for her role as a trainer on “The Biggest Loser” and her various fitness programs, Jillian Michaels established Empowered Media to encompass her wide range of ventures, including fitness DVDs, books, apps, and online content. The company’s mission is to empower individuals to live healthier, happier lives through fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle choices.

 

We had the privilege of working with Empowered Media to produce a series of dynamic prenatal workout videos featuring fitness expert Taylor Walker Sinning. Shot in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, our team dedicated themselves to capturing the essence of the Jillian Michaels brand, ensuring each workout session was not only effective but visually compelling.

Mastering Sunlight and Dynamic Shots

Throughout the production of the Taylor Walker Fit Prenatal Fitness Program for Jillian Michaels’ Empowered Media, we encountered and conquered several key challenges. Managing sunlight variations required meticulous planning and attention to detail, ensuring consistent lighting and visual quality across all sessions. Our sophisticated 3-camera setup and specialized gear allowed us to capture dynamic shots that showcased the exercises in their best light.

 

The finished series, available on Jillian Michaels’ The Fitness App, stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence in fitness video production, highlighting the hard work and dedication of both Taylor Walker Sinning and our team at C&I Studios.

We have worked with Beatriz several times throughout the last few years here at C&I. From the first shoot that we collaborated on, it was very clear that Beatriz was made for this career. A Miss Brazil USA 2018 runner-up, Beatriz really brings out the best from our team. This particular shoot was challenging, as we wanted to capture Beatriz and all of her visual potential perfectly. We decided to compliment and emphasize her look by shooting her on a bike. We then took this one step further, and added dramatic and colorful lighting. All of these factors came together to form some fantastic final images. Beatriz was a real pro, and our team was able to capture her powerful presence, while also flattering her graceful beauty.

Celebrating Black Culture

We are honored at C&I Studios to be entrusted by NBC with the task of capturing the essence of African American excellence in pop culture, sports, media, music, and film through Black Pop, an interview-style production for their E! channel.

 

With our expertise in visual storytelling and a deep understanding of the impact of black culture on American society, we aimed to create a television production that would celebrate the profound and enduring influence of black culture on the fabric of our nation.

Black culture. It starts a trend and everybody else thinks it's cool. Shows, movies, music, sports... It is our time. Black culture is not just about the final product. It's about our journey. After everything we've been through as a Black culture, we're still here, still standing, still strong. That's a lot to be joyful for. Shaft was basically the first Black superhero. This was a big budget film and it was like, OK, now they get a chance to see what we can do. Motown. You saw how influential Black music could be. Those songs were anthems for a movement. Yes, I too was a soul train dancer. Think of a sport where there are no Black people. Add some Black people. Does it not get more exciting? "I am the greatest" and I want to be special like Muhammad Ali. I love to see these girls finally getting folks to sit in the stands and to support them. When you talk about people flocking to tennis, it's because of them. Candace Parker. She went back home and she won a chip. Are we talking about it as much as Lebron? That made him the goat. I said it! Prince did whatever he wanted to do. He touched all on himself while he was dancing, but we loved him because his soul came out in his music. MTV Spring Break was doing s*** that only Black people did at Freaknik. Oh, y'all went to Freaknik? Freaky ass. You think John Singleton didn't understand the power of Ice Cube. You can be raised in the hood but you don't have to be hood. I'm a product of that. In Living Color gave us a different kind of cultural identity. J Lo was discovered by Black people. I mean Flo Jo was the s***. It was a look but she backed it up on the track. If we work together, shine together, we'll only amplify our culture. We have an impact. It's unavoidable to watch anything without seeing it. We are the blueprint. Give us our flowers and that's that on that. It's a good time to be Black.

Dualing Documentaries

Our studio had the privilege of collaborating with NBC on the high-profile documentary, “Sherri Papini: Lies, Lies, and More Lies,” which aired on NBC’s true crime network, Oxygen, on December 17, 2022.

 

We were hired to capture new footage to help tell the story of the entire journey, from crucial interviews to pivotal moments such as Papini’s appearance in a Sacramento courthouse before and after receiving her subsequent 18-month sentence.

A Streamlined Solution

NBC approached us for this project while we were shooting a docuseries with them called Black Pop: Celebrating the Power of Black Culture. This new production was time-sensitive as it was happening in real time and NBC needed a crew that could be a one-stop solution to fill their production need. Hiring C&I Studios afforded the NBC line producer a streamlined pathway to jumpstart the production in one fell swoop.

Perfect Delivery

Our team is flexible and able to adapt complex production schedules to meet any need. We were able to shoot all interviews across several locations and film the pivotal courthouse footage in time to deliver the media to NBC so their team could edit and launch the documentary on time.

When MLB star Cliff Floyd wanted to market his innovative safety gear for baseball players, he came to us for the whole kitchen sink–everything from branding to product photography to web design. As a MLB player for the Florida Marlins, Cliff saw the dangers of head injuries for players, from pitchers fielding comebackers to youth batters with slower reaction times compared to professionals.

 

He created an innovative product that fits under a standard baseball cap, but he needed help with the visual presentation and a plan to market the product online and in his networks. We provided brand development, product photography and a web design to help launch the Ball Cap Liner.

Branding

The first task was to develop a logo that represents the brand. We listened to the design vision of Cliff and his team, and then developed a logo that was modern, incorporated some personal significance for Cliff, and had appeal in the athletic industry.

Product Photography

We then created product photography that highlighted the features of the protective liner, as well as lifestyle shots to show how people could incorporate them into their uniforms. As for product photography, we shot multiple angles of the Ball Cap Liner in different lighting scenarios to make sure that it was showcased in a professional manner for use on web and social media. With the right combination of photography, web design and branding, we were able to create a comprehensive marketing package that allowed Ball Cap Liner to take off.

Web Design

In addition to visuals, we provided Cliff with an engaging website design that showcased his product in a visually appealing way. The website was designed to be user-friendly, allowing customers to find the information easily and quickly purchase merchandise as individuals or in bulk.

 

Overall, it was an honor working with Cliff Floyd and helping to bring his vision of Ball Cap Liner to life through strategic visual content.

Because of our ability to cover events anywhere around the world. Pierce and C&I Studios were on the scene together at the Grovetown, GA city fair. This fair was intended to provide uplift and relief to low income families in the area. Our goal for this was to capture the emotion behind enjoying the little things in life. The heartfelt moments and temporary mental relief that a fun, free experience provides. It was a daring approach that paid off.

Over the evolution of our partnership we have come to admire their emotion-driven marketing solutions. Together we were unstoppable. Piece Promotions produced quality events while we produced high-quality video and photo content that put their partner’s businesses ahead of their competition.

The Purpose

Pierce has successfully made us their go-to digital company. Appealing to human emotions would be almost impossible without the help of captivating visuals. We’ve collaborated with Pierce on several projects thus far, another of which was Philadelphia Activation. Going into this project our aim was to detail the spectacular highlights of this event. In order to capture every detail we needed we used Drones and shot all media in 4K. Quality images and videos like the content we created for Pierce Promotions can be repurposed after the event for social media or used in the marketing campaigns of future events.

At C&I, we were challenged with how we could shed the light on WellOff elixirs. We had a detailed product photography session with the aim of leaving nothing hidden from the lens. No doubt, people love what they understand, and what better way to introduce your brand than perfect publicity.

 

We took pictures of all the WellOff combinations available, and also had a video recording session. You should check it out.

A Fine Solutions sought to improve their marketing reach, so they hired C&I Studios to create a video that tells their business story. There is this joy that spreads from your heart to your soul when you get the opportunity to see babies in their happy hours. Kinbe Kids’ is an online store that specializes in selling the best quality shoes for infants. We collaborated with them in bringing their ideas to life by photographing their products in action. To pass across the right message and connect with Kinbe Kids’ target audience, young parents and new moms, we used actors who were part of the same demographic.

Aqua Hair Extensions

At C&I Studios, we were tasked to shed the right light on the brand, Aqua Hair Extensions, and to capture the community it created in the fashion and beauty niche. For a brand like Aqua, which already has a steady following, we knew that the challenge would not be to break the market but to create a better understanding of how it is a lifestyle for those that use it. That reason was not lost on us when we began planning the project. The job could have been given to anyone but they came to us because they trusted our sound judgement. We came to a conclusion that we would create a series of videos that showed Aqua educators how to put their training into practice.

 

We shot over three days to get the job done and used two different cameras on different session days, our RED Scarlet and Monstro one day and the Raven and Dragon on the other. We developed the studio into an interview setting so that we could have renowned hair stylists who use the products tell us how they improved their business with it.

We needed to project the unique image and style the brand is known for, their idea of beauty, and how they appeal to consumers from various walks of life. It was also important to highlight all the unique hairstyles, textures & colors to justify just how much more than a trend Aqua Hair extensions are. So we also had a product shoot where we captured all the products in Aqua’s inventory.

 

Aqua Hair Extensions are known by the fashion-savvy for their 100% high-quality human hair extensions and accessories.

The Gear We Used

Our method was to capture various content related to the attendee’s reactions to everything. This allowed us to let viewers get a deeper perspective on Aqua Extensions classes which are engaging and fun.

 

The challenge was shooting in a very standard hotel conference room with little room to maneuver, so we needed to get shots that did not focus on the location as much but directly on the subject and what they were doing.

In collaboration with the Florida House Victory Campaign, Turn Florida Blue, we wrote, produced, and distributed a series of political ads to increase awareness and buzz around Democratic Candidates who needed a boost in the polls. Patrick Henry was one such candidate.

 

Ricky Junquera grew up in a Cuban American household right here in West Miami-Dade by his single mother and grandmother. Since early childhood, he saw the risks and sacrifices his family made to make sure he had education and personal improvement opportunities. In 2010, Ricky was attending law school and working on Joe Garcia’s 2010 bid for congress. That’s where he found his calling, helping communities through public service. After receiving a master’s degree in intercultural communications, he became the Communications Director for Congressman Henry Cuellar of San Antonio in 2015. He joined the campaign just as Donald Trump was beginning his own. This pushed Ricky forward and enabled him to work further to hone his communication skills to combat Trump’s anti-immigration rhetoric.

 

For the Florida House Victory Campaign, we distributed three ads for Ricky Junquera (30-second, 15-second, and 6-second versions) while using advanced SEO tactics to boost searchability and organic viewership.

A PROMISE TO DISTRICT 118

In conjunction with the three ads published in part by the Florida House Victory campaign, Ricky Junquera’s base commissioned us to write, produce, and distribute an independent collection of political advertisements.

 

In 2015, after witnessing the EPA’s attacks, Ricky accepted a position as the Regional Press Secretary for the Sierra Club. This began his start in shaping environmental communication strategies throughout the Midwest and Florida. Ultimately, Ricky chose to run for House Representative because he cared deeply about his community’s health outcomes and fought to balance working-class communities’ economic struggles. Vocalizing this in our media wasn’t difficult at all. We knew his words would meet the emotions of many in a community that had seen hardship after hardship, from the EPA to the current COVID-19 crisis. For this series, we highlighted Ricky Junquera’s focus on the issues that matter most to our communities: healthcare, unemployment, gun violence, clean water, public education, and viable transportation. These issues have been a part of Ricky’s life since childhood. He’d seen the hardships that crushing medical expenses have on a family. He’s personally been a part of the fight for clean water since early 2015. We see that many of these issues are still ones we face today. There’s much work still left to be done, and that’s why we banded together to give Ricky the media he needed to get his words and work in front of a larger audience.

 

The framework for these ads led to increased voter turnout for Ricky Junquera.

A FULL SCALE PUSH TO TAKE THE HOUSE

The Florida House Victory Campaign, Turn Florida Blue, was a massive political effort funded by state Democrats in an effort to unite the Florida House of Representatives under democratic leadership. The idea for this campaign came in the wake of the 2018 election, where Florida Democrats flipped various seats in the House of Representatives. To build on this momentum, the Democratic party ran a Democratic candidate in every district election for the first time in our state’s history.

 

The Florida House of Representatives has been under Republican leadership for the past 20 years. They’ve controlled the legislator and have implemented biased policies, many of which directly or indirectly take advantage of hardworking Floridians and their families. The Florida House Victory Campaign was aimed to capitalize on the national momentum and shared interest for a “blue wave,” using the current political climate to drive democratic turnout and, ultimately, take control of the house.

 

Though the 2020 election results favored Republicans in Florida, our campaign stoked interest around important Democratic policies that we will continue to fight for in the elections to come. Among the most important topics discussed in this election, the Florida House Victory campaign advocated livable wage jobs, a healthy and well-guarded environment, equal state funding for public education, correcting our broken unemployment system, access to affordable healthcare, and the revitalization of our state economy.

 

We wrote the scripts, directed, produced and distributed the political ads for 13 Democratic Candidates running for office and re-election in districts as far south as Key West and as far north as Orlando.

Four candidates pushed the topic of economic recovery to bolster their status on the polls. Each video was tied to the COVID-19 pandemic considering it was one of the greatest concerns among voters in the Democratic base and those still undecided.

 

We wrote unique scripts for each candidate, drawing talking points from their political track-record and community’s status. We spoke predominantly to local business owners, unemployed workers, those who recognized the failures of leadership in Tallahassee.

BEACHES & WATERWAYS

Another important topic discussed by Democratic candidates in this year’s race was the importance of protecting and preserving our beaches and waterways. The framework for this argument was also tied to COVID-19, which enabled us to weave economic elements into these scripts.

 

The most impactful argument here was that Florida tourism is a $90 billion industry. It upholds our state and local economies, powers business, and ensures that thousands of workers are employed. Amid COVID-19, travel has been difficult for some and impossible for others. International travel has been greatly limited and these factors have been devastating to businesses that need tourist dollars to survive. 2020 has shown that when tourism dies, our communities suffer. This reinforced the importance and value of our waterways and beaches. These natural resources support our tourist industry and are, therefore, vital factors to our state’s economic health.

EDUCATION

Four candidates ran on a platform of correcting Florida’s biased public education funding system. The main point of contention is the fact that for the past 20 years, our state legislator has funneled tax dollars to support for-profit charter schools. This biased practice has completely hindered our public schooling institution’s ability to function; the cost of which is shared among teachers and students alike.

We wrote a collection of scripts to inform Florida voters of the situation while presenting real solutions that would benefit our communities, families, and children.

Perhaps the most specific topic of conversation among our candidates was Mine Blasting to which Cindy Polo provided a voice. This issue is specific to business owners and homeowners in District 103. This mining practice is damaging and is at their expense. Since no other candidates were bringing this issue to light, Cindy Polo stepped in.

ENVIRONMENT

Protecting and preserving our environment is a growing topic of conversation. With the severity of climate change worsening every year, we expect that this conversation will remain at the center of political dialogue. Current trends aside, the environment has long been a primary concern among Florida voters. Our state’s economy is largely dependent on the health of our natural resources, as they are a major contributor to tourism.

 

For candidates Delores Hogan-Johnson and Geraldine Thompson, we wrote, produced, and distributed the following political ads centered around environmental stewardship and the importance of nature in our economy. We framed the conversation alongside covid-19 to reinforce the urgency and provide added framework to our case.

Franccesca Cesti-Browne ran on a platform of education. As a mother and businesswoman, she is vocal about advocating for the health of the communities of Florida. She believes that every community is only as strong as the opportunities they are given. Thus, she states that we must provide more opportunities to our present leaders and the young people to lead our future generations. She advocates heavily on correcting the imbalance and bias affecting public school funding throughout Florida. She is critical of the State Legislator, who contributed to the massive education gap that has been decades in the making.

 

This campaign was distributed via Facebook Advertising and was targeted at demographics based on their viewer history and language preference to garner the best results. His platform was honest and straightforward: the COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating on our local businesses and our economic wellbeing; these hardships could have been and still can be avoided if we had real leadership in the State Capital. Now more than ever, we need real, commonsense solutions to put Florida back on track. Vocalizing these three crucial points was essential in increasing voter turnout for Patrick Henry in 2020.

For this series, we highlighted Patrick Henry’s promise for the future and the key areas that he would continue to advocate: livable wage jobs, a clean and healthy environment, access to healthcare, and quality public education. These social issues have long been the heart of Patrick Henry’s work in the State Capital. We can look around and see that his work is not yet complete. This is not a knock on Patrick Henry, but rather a call to action to unite the Florida House of Representatives under likeminded Democratic leadership so we can create real, functional policies to improve these areas.

 

The framework for these ads achieved many successes that led to increased voter turnout for Patrick Henry. Most importantly, it reinforced and drove traffic back to the Florida House Victory campaign ads, which, ultimately, contributed to Patrick Henry’s massive viewership in such a short timeframe. And it also helped focus organic viewership in Florida where a total of 108 watch hours were recorded.

Geraldine Thompson was running for re-election for Florida House District 44 on the promise of reinvigorating opportunities for local businesses and hardworking Floridians as the means of getting our state economy back on track. Her opponent, Bruno Portigliatti, ran on a similar promise. However, his assurance was contradicted by his track record of taking advantage of vulnerable seniors, college students, and unemployed workers. We made a point of showcasing his harmful and volatile track record to further support Geraldine Thompson’s re-election bid.

Operating in conjunction with the Florida House Victory Ad, we also produced an attack ad to aid Geraldine Thompson on her re-election bid further.

 

Her opponent, Bruno Portigliatti, ran on a similar campaign promise; however, his track-record was a complete contradiction to these claims. The idea for this ad was to show the disparities in the American Dream; how some people — people like Bruno Portigliatti — use their position to take advantage of people as a means of deepening their pockets. Educating Florida’s voters was imperative here. Some of the most affected demographics from the COVID-19 pandemic — seniors, students, and unemployed workers — deserved to know that a vote for Bruno Portigliatti would greatly affect their economic futures and physical health.

 

This ad was distributed primarily on social media using Facebook Advertising and greatly increased voter recognition for Geraldine Thompson as the ideal candidate to continue representing Florida House District 44.

VIVID Fogless Film

The creator of VIVID Fogless Film hired our team to produce this instructional video, to focus on the benefits and use of her new anti-fog-film for the bathroom mirror. 

Aside from the obvious, a secondary objective for this project was to brand VIVID before the official launch in the Amazon marketplace. For these reasons, we blended elements of an instructional video with that of a company profile so this could be used in immediate marketing efforts while remaining an evergreen piece of media to aid in the consumer experience.

 

The true value here is that this video equips consumers with more knowledge of the product so they can make more informed decisions, ultimately, leading to an increase in conversions. The reason it is so important to have a video such as this at the time of launch is that in the absence of customer reviews, the VIVID brand needed some form of efficacy to thrive in the e-commerce landscape. And without a website, this proved all the more valuable.

 

All in all, there were few challenges on set. Filming in front of mirrors is sometimes tricky, especially when working in tight spaces, but this didn’t pose an obstacle to our team. The other challenge was concerned with the content. Not only did the instructional video need to flow seamlessly, but we also had to sell the fact that this product is for bathroom mirrors. Articulating this without saying it required some inventive ideas, and in the end, we found the right solution. Check it out!
