Mental Health Video Production for Florida Department of Children and Families
C&I Studios delivered a full scale mental health video production package for the Florida Department of Children and Families. The brief called for a launch ready film that could carry the Wraparound message through the Florida DCF Wraparound rollout, training sessions for new facilitators, and outreach to Florida families across English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Our team produced a three minute Wraparound documentary, recorded original Haitian Creole voice over in our Fort Lauderdale audio booth, engineered a Spanish subtitled cut, and color matched all three deliverables to a single master grade.
Mental health video production for the children’s behavioral health space is unlike any other category. The audience is families in crisis, youth navigating serious emotional disturbances, case managers explaining a new model, and clinicians who need the visuals to be honest. Every interview, every B roll cutaway, every lower third had to read the way the work feels in real life: youth guided, family driven, community based. Our mental health video production crew built the interview set in a Fort Lauderdale studio with consistent lighting and a warm, lived in backdrop, then ran clean production audio so the same five voices could carry the story in three languages without losing emotional weight.
Five Wraparound Interviews and a Family Story
The three minute Wraparound cut anchors the mental health video production package. We coordinated facilitators, case managers, and family members on camera, ran a script supervisor, and rolled C&I Studios cinema cameras with lavalier audio so the dialog reads cleanly under broadcast and web compression. Video production at this scale demands strong on set direction so the platform interface, the human story, and the educational arc all stay aligned shot to shot.
The B roll covers Wraparound team meetings, training sessions, and family life inserts so SOC’s audience meets the model from every angle: the youth in the program, the parent at the dinner table, the facilitator at the whiteboard, the multidisciplinary team around the conference table. The mental health video production package was designed for reuse, the master cut feeds into SOC’s homepage, the Wraparound 101 training, the ‘s facilitator development curriculum, and the outreach beats behind #NotAlone, #LetsTalkAboutIt, and #ItStartsHere.
Translation, Subtitles, and a Haitian Creole Voiceover
The Spanish subtitled and Haitian Creole voice over editions are the public face of the multilingual mental health video production launch. After the English master locked, we engineered a Spanish subtitle pass with the SOC team, balancing reading speed against on screen action so the captions never crowd the speakers. The Haitian Creole edition went further, a professional native voice over recorded over the same picture, mixed in our Fort Lauderdale audio booth, with a matched musical bed and crisp dialog so the same emotional cadence carries across language lines. Post production for a multilingual cut is its own discipline: lip sync windows, translated lower thirds, font hinting for diacritics, and final delivery in three matched H.264 masters.
